Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month (excluding December & January) Nothe Fort Artillery

The Fort’s Artillery Volunteers show off their musketry and cannon handling skills with several big bangs.

 Matchstick Fleet Exhibition Returns: 30th July to 26th August  events-matchstick.jpg

Come and be amazed at the detail and accuracy of the scaled matchstick replicas of modern warships on display. The whole of our exhibition area is filled with these exquisite models that have taken one man a lifetime to build. A very special and unique collection.

August 23rd and 24th - Nothe Fort Victorian Fayre 10.30am to 4.30pm A colourful event involving re-enactors from the Nothe Fort Artillery Volunteers with Bugles, Drums and Cannons.  victorian fayre2.jpg

The two day period will be packed full of events, many interactive.  

Sideshows include: Hoopla: Coconut Shy and Stocks: Also Stone Carving:  Victorian Treasure Hunt: Victorian School Room: Face Painting: Maypole Dancing: Fossil Painting: Victorian Crafts & Food Stalls:

Son et Lumiere Sound & Light Spectacular with Fireworks: 10th to 13th September at 8pm (Gates open from 7pm)

2 on a4 son et 1.jpgDirected by Martine Burt: This  is a Weymouth Community Play involving Weymouth Drama Club, Weymouth Operatic Society, Weymouth Operatic Workshop,  Nothe Fort Artillery, Quay Theatre Arts, Dorchester Jive Club and Dorset Wrecks.

A community play depicting the maritime history of Weymouth and Portland from the Armada to the Olympics, with actors, singers and dancers, cannons, bugles and drums.  All enveloped in projected images, atmospheric music and fantastic special effects.  

Please note pre-show dinner is available to be booked in advance, please see Fort View Cafe.

Tickets prices are £18 for Adults & £15 for Children (under 16 years).  

Special  Early Bird Offers: 50 or more tickets £12 each A SAVING OF £6 PER TICKET.  20 + tickets £14 each   A SAVING OF £4 PER TICKET. Family Ticket (2 Adults & 2 Children) £50.

Ghosts,  Ghosts,   Ghosts………..
There are plenty at the Nothe Fort, as many people will testify, and that most ghostly time is approaching fast – Halloween.

There will be a mini Ghost walk, lots of creepy crafts. There will be Prizes for the most imaginative fancy dress.

Christmas Fayre: Sunday 30th November from 11am to 4.30pm   

Come and get into the true spirit of Christmas.  Santa Grotto, Children's crafts, seasonal food and craft stalls, treasure hunt, face painting.   Enjoy a meal in our Gun Deck Restaurant or just a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine.
