Facilities for those with restricted mobility
A modern lift has been installed to connect the three main levels of the Fort. In addition ramps have been installed, however due to the nature of the Fort there are some areas where it has not been possible to install ramps and therefore small areas would be restricted to wheel chair users. We have fully compliant disabled toilets and all refreshment areas are accessible.
We have no special prices for disabled visitors and endeavour to promote equal opportunities and fully recognise diversity from across the community. However we understand some members of the community require the assistance of carers to make their visit possible. Where this is the case we exercise discretion on entrance fees.
Dogs are welcome providing they are kept on a lead and supervised at all times.
There are Council operated car parks in Nothe Gardens. The Fort is just a short walking distance from these car parks.
