The Nothe Fort is preparing for their annual Victorian Military event. The Fort Artillery and the Cumberland Guard from Portsmouth, will be firing their cannons, as well as demonstrating their musket, bugles, drumming and marching skills. Queen Victoria will be visiting to inspect the Troops
Throughout the day there will be live firing displays with cannons, muskets and rifles - So plenty of loud bangs and the chance to inspect the guns at close quarters. A great day out for all the family, as well as military enthusiasts.
There will be traditional side shows including Roll a Penny, Coconut Shy and Stocks. The Victorian School Room will be open for you to try your hand at adding up “old” money and writing with an ink pen. We also welcome some specially selected craft stalls.
